REA Safe Night Collects for Food Pantry

On the tails of filling an entire school bus with food for North Coventry Food Pantry on Friday October 25th's Make a Difference Day, 842 children and 573 adults came to the high school bearing more non-perishable food to help hungry families get through the winter. The North Coventry Food Pantry will benefit from the generous spirit of our families and the good planning of the Roberts Education Association.

Teachers, students, school board members and community groups came together to rally for the food pantry and keep kids in a safe environment on Halloween. Pictured below the high school honors stage choir , the 7-ups, stroll through the halls of the high school entertaining families with their awesome show tunes.

Although there was not shortage of candy, there was plenty to offer children other than sweets. Animal Studies students had a "petting zoo" and some of the animals even wore costume. East Coventry Girls on the Run presented a Ghouls on the Run relay activity. The Championship Wildcat Wrestling Team let kids get their hands gooey in cauldrons of slimy science experiments. About 50 groups representing each of our 7 schools participated.
