Great News from Athletics Office



Wildcat Update

-          Congratulation goes out to the Girls Swimming and Diving Team for their undefeated PAC-10 season and being named the PAC-10 Champs for 2014-15. Please take a second to congratulate the girls and coaching staff on a fine season and all of their hard work, finishing the season 7-0.

-          Congratulation goes out to the Boys Swimming and Diving Team for their PAC-10 championship season, which finished with a league record of 6-0-1 and also snapped a 52 meet winning streak by Perkiomen Valley in the process.  Congratulations to the boys and the coaching staff on a great season.  Thank you for all of your hard work.

-          On Friday, February 6th in our dual wrestling meet with Phoenixville High School, Derek Gulotta earned his 135th career victory.  This makes Derek the all-time winningest wrestler in school history, eclipsing the previous mark held by Owen J. Roberts volunteer assistant coach Aaron Brown. Please join me in congratulating Derek on this great accomplishment in his outstanding career here at OJR.

-          We have just been informed that OJR Girl’s Soccer Team was named one of top Academic Teams in the country for the 2013-14 academic year. Congratulations to the Girl’s Soccer team and the coaching staff for their hard work in and out of the classroom.

-          Ben Huzzard was named to the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association All-State Team for the 2014 Season. Congratulations to Ben, his team, and coaches for helping him achieve this great honor.

-          Samantha Garritano and Caroline Rajtik, members of our HS Field Hockey team have been named 2014 Keith Waldman – Optimal Performance Associates / NFHCA High School National Academic Squad for the 2014-15 school year. This a great accomplishment for both of these individuals to have the success in the classroom, as well as on the field. Congratulations to Samantha and Caroline on this academic honor.
