EV Aqua Squad in DC

You can support the East Vincent Aqua Squad by VOTING for the PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD on Thursday, June 18, 2015 between 1:30 – 8:00 pm at www.nsta.org/VoteECYBER15.

Three East Vincent students and their teacher, Ms. Carrie Mitton, are visiting the National Mall and museums as part of a 5-day, all-expenses paid experience sponsored by the U.S. Army and administered by the National Science Teachers Association. They won the trip as part of their success in the e-Cybermission contest. The team, the Aqua Squad, won the state title and then took top prize in regionals. The sight-seeing paves the way to the national competition and awards ceremony.

The students set out to prove that the drinking water in the school fountains was not only safe to drink, but eh economically responsible choice over bottled water.

Students have been featured in the Reading Eagle, Philadelphia Inquirer, Pottstown Mercury, Fox 29 Weekend and today on PHL 17 Eyeopener News!
