OJR High School presents Thoroughly Modern Millie on March 10-13

For almost 50 years, the Owen J. Roberts High School (OJRHS) Musical Theater Department has produced top-notch high school musicals showcasing the talent of teen performers . This year a cast of 38 students will perform “Thoroughly Modern Millie” at OJRHS, on March 10-13, 2016. Performances are at 7 pm Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, March 10-12, and 2 pm Sunday, March 13. Tickets can be reserved online at www.ojrmusical.com, or by calling the box office at 610-469-5751. Millie Dillmount (played by Cheyenne Hails) arrives in New York City from Kansas in the roaring 1920’s, to find herself in a sea of modern-day girls like herself looking for a better life in the big city. Finding a job and a husband proves to be harder than she expected. With help from new friends, Jimmy Smith ( played by Mike Styer), Dorothy Brown ( played by Michelle Intoccia), Mr. Trevor Graydon ( played by Conrad Sager) and Muzzy Van Hossmere ( played by Sara Helmers), Millie learns about herself and love.
This OJRHS musical is directed by Justin Damm with Jessica Potts as the musical director and choreography by Rebecca Futty. Other production staff include producer Taylor Helmers, technical director Scott Minor, student stage manager Maya Greenholt, and costume design Erinne Aicher.
