On March 4, two East Vincent teams competed in the Chester County STEM Design Challenge Tournament.  The Aquateers placed second in the middle school division and the Super STEM-ers were first in the elementary division.

As the first place team in their division, the Super STEM-ers will advance to the State Championship on May 18th.

The teams displayed great teamwork throughout the day, and the judges seemed impressed with their background research.

Owen J. Roberts is really getting a reputation for excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Reportedly, one of the organizers of the day was interviewing asked one of the teams where they were from.  When they responded Owen J. Roberts, she said, "Oh!  Owen J. Roberts is becoming a leader in the county in STEM.  Wait until you get to high school and see STEM track your school has now."
