Dr. Lloyd talks with featured speaker Dr. Peter Langman
Dr. Susan Lloyd was joined by six members of the school district representing the Elementary, Middle, and High Schools as well as the School Board, at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Regional Task Force - Safe Schools Symposium held on April 5th at the Penn State Great Valley Campus.  The annual event brings together first responders and school officials to talk about school safety. The symposium focused on the latest prevention and response techniques from experts in the field.

The featured speaker this year was Peter Langman, Ph.D., an expert on the psychology of school shooters. Dr. Langman conducts trainings on identifying potential school shooters for professionals in mental health, education, and law enforcement. He has spoken at the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA, been hired by Homeland Security to train professionals in the United States, and been recruited by the State Department to speak to international audiences.
