Talented Filmmakers

Mr. Brian Sponagle reported that he had the pleasure of attending the 10th Annual Greenfield Youth Film Festival Awards Night with a talented group of OJR students on April 25. The event was held at the Upper Dublin High School Performing Arts Center in Fort Washington, PA and is sponsored by the Greenfield Foundation. Twenty-five schools from the Philadelphia area and surrounding region submitted 300 films at the beginning of March to be judged by industry professionals and college professors. Last night was the culmination of many months of hard work to produce these short films. Congratulations go out to all the students that received awards and nominations last night as well as all students that entered films.

Avery Stanislaw – Post – Nominated for Best Director, Screenplay, PSA, Acting, Sound Design, Narrative and Sound Effects.
Carly Jennion and Tyler Vokes – The Experimentalist – Nominated for Best Producer, Director, Screenplay, Comedy, Acting, Mockumentary, Narrative and Editing.
Jack Savant – 18 – Nominated for Best Narrative, Comedy and Cinematography

See these award winning films and others at the 14th Annual Owen J. Roberts High School Film Festival on Wednesday, May 16 at 7PM in the High School Auditorium.
