Burn off the Bird

#PAHWFSchools
East Coventry Elementary School has a fun annual campaign called Burning Off the Bird to inspire leading a healthy lifestyle. The week after Thanksgiving, the entire student body is intentional in getting in extra steps. Today, Principal Oswald visited all classrooms to introduce the walking challenge. Mrs. Jordan came along to promote a focus on healthy eating as well!

Mrs. Mitchell marked a new Burn off the Bird walking path course in the hallways of the brand new building.

Each homeroom class will take one round trip walk in the hallway each day and Mrs. Mitchell will add a one round trip loop during her PE class with each class.  This will total one mile for the week.

Principal Oswald (aka Turkey) & Mrs. Jordan distributed mile marker cut out sneakers to students this morning.  The sparkly turkey got the full attention of students (and teachers)!
