Last Wednesday, the way the brackets fell as a result of a blind draw, OJR was the only team who had to compete twice – and win twice – and they did! The team competed at 4:30 and 7:00 pm. They successfully defended the accused to defeat Downingtown West at 4:30. A coin flip was then conducted with the other winner of another concurrent match that also occurred at 4:30. OJR lost the coin flip and had to compete again at 7:00. They successfully prosecuted the defendant and defeated Villa Maria Academy High School in a very tough trial.
The OJR Team remains undefeated in its inaugural year and is two (2) wins away from becoming the Pennsylvania State Champion.
Mr. Keith Morris, club advisor, offered, “I’m extremely proud, humbled by and enjoy coaching these hard-working young advocates! They are representing our district with distinction and maturity beyond their years.”
