Delayed Start Time Options Public Meeting

Owen J. Roberts will have a Delayed Start Options informational meeting on October 24th at 6 PM in the High School Auditorium.  At this session, Dr. Richard Marchini, Student Services Director, will be reviewing the options and answering questions related to this issue.  The meeting will be for informational purposes only with plenty of time for questions and answers. Respectfully, this will not be venue for public comment, debate, or argument. 
This meeting is a follow-up to the September 30th School Board Pupil Services Committee public meeting in which board members reviewed the delayed start options, timeline, and cost analysis of each option.  The three options discussed include:
  • Hybrid/Online model in which secondary students could, by choice, flex their schedule and come in later to school.  There were 3 transportation models for this option with associated costs
  • Delayed start model for all students. Secondary 8AM and Elementary 9AM. There is one transportation model with associated costs
  • No Change.  All start time would stay the same.
